New Timber Frame House

This new build house was completed in accordance with a specific design within a Conservation Area. We were involved in the design process and the full build program including the demolition of an existing house on the site.

The house is timber frame on a concrete foundation with masonry and a suspended concrete floor. The timber frame incorporates major beams in both glulam and steel to enable the open plan interior and varied roof lines to be constructed.

The build included the installation of a fire sprinkler to remove the need for an enclosed stairwell. Other parts of the build included integrated sound systems and data cabling throughout.

The external treatment was brought in to enable the property to blend into the surrounding woodland. Bespoke profiled cedar cladding, aluminium windows and doors and zinc rainwater goods.

This build received two awards in the Residential category for Build and Design from The Norwich Society and Broadland District Council.
