This project was completed on a large luxury house in Norwich and included an extensive refurbishment of the kitchen and living space areas including demolition and new additional space created by extending, coupled with structural alterations and introduction of new steel framing and supports the layout was transformed. In addition alterations to the first floor, en-suite and main bathroom areas were fully refurbished. The new spaces were built to compliment the main house and contrasting aluminium frames were included together with bespoke aluminium cladding and finishes. Natural light was further enhanced by introducing combinations of Velux roof windows and with the large external frames the space created a completely new feel to the property. As part of the refurbishment new Under floor heating was introduced, a comprehensive electrical installation providing the latest technologies and home automation, externally new hard landscaping was installed and a LED lighting scheme to compliment the externals and rear of the property.
Barber Building Services was the only company which provided both a detailed realistic quotation and an acceptable timescale for the work to increase the structural integrity, to carry out extensive replastering, and to completely re-decorate a 1970s house within a Norwich Conservation Area before it was put on the market.
The work was completed within budget and on time within a tight timescale. The final cleaning left the house in an immaculate state, such that the house was sold within 10 minutes of the first viewing.
Barber Building Services worked closely with the Consultant Surveyor who was overseeing the project. Any additions or amendments to the work were quickly understood and quoted for so that there was no delay in continuing the work. Communications between Barber Building Services, the Consultant Surveyor and ourselves, the remote client, were excellent and timely.
