We complete works for KLM UK on a regular basis at Norwich Airport.
This project involved the extension of one of the existing maintenance hangars, forming a new restaurant facility complete with a commercial kitchen and serving area.
Internal alterations included the opening up of the existing side elevation of the hangar to incorporate the new area within the existing.
New male and female toilets, and washing and showering facilities were included within the refurbished area. Also, as part of this work, we installed a new mezzanine floor over the existing two-storey internal offices to form a new storage floor complete with a new staircase and railing.
The works were all completed in accordance with a detailed structural design.
Barber Building Services was the only company which provided both a detailed realistic quotation and an acceptable timescale for the work to increase the structural integrity, to carry out extensive replastering, and to completely re-decorate a 1970s house within a Norwich Conservation Area before it was put on the market.
The work was completed within budget and on time within a tight timescale. The final cleaning left the house in an immaculate state, such that the house was sold within 10 minutes of the first viewing.
Barber Building Services worked closely with the Consultant Surveyor who was overseeing the project. Any additions or amendments to the work were quickly understood and quoted for so that there was no delay in continuing the work. Communications between Barber Building Services, the Consultant Surveyor and ourselves, the remote client, were excellent and timely.
